Caregivers who prompt, note and pick up prescriptions for seniors at home
We can HelpWhat Are In-Home Medication Reminders?
In-home medication reminders are a non-medical service: a caregiver prompts a senior to take their medication on time, notes when doses are taken and picks up prescriptions. Always Near Home Care provides medication reminders with companion and homemaker care in Hernando and Citrus Counties. Our caregivers remind; they do not administer medication.
Missed or doubled doses are a common reason older adults end up back at the doctor. A caregiver who visits at the right times of day can remind your loved one, watch for refills running low and let the family know if something seems off.
Reminders fit easily into a regular visit alongside meals, light housekeeping and rides to appointments and the pharmacy. Because we are a non-medical agency, caregivers do not administer medication, give injections or make medical decisions; if your loved one needs that level of help, we’ll tell you honestly. We serve Hernando County and Citrus County.
How Medication Reminders Work
Timed Prompts: Visits scheduled around morning, midday or evening doses.
Dose Notes: The caregiver notes when medication was taken so the family can see the pattern.
Pharmacy Pickups: Prescription pickups and a heads-up when refills are due.
Meals on Time: Meals and snacks ready for medications that must be taken with food.
Rides to the Doctor: Transportation to appointments so questions get asked in person.
Family Updates: A call or note if doses are being missed or something seems wrong.
